The city of Sacramento has the glow a rising star these days, with a brand new state-of-the-art arena and impressive downtown redevelopment, as well as a booming real estate market and more companies and residents relocating to “The 916” every year. 

But while Sacramento wasn’t always considered a first city, there have been plenty of notable and famous people who were born and raised in the region.
